이삿짐 사다리차 쓰러져 ‘쿵’…등교 중 8살 어린이 중태_我的网站
A | [앵커] 오늘(26일) 오전 충남 천안의 한 아파트에서 이삿짐 운반용 사다리차가 넘어져 등교 중이던 초등학생이 크게 다쳤습니다. 사다리차가 넘어지는 것을 막는 지지대를 제대로 펴지도 않은 채 사다리를 위로 30미터 넘게 뽑아 올리다 벌어진 사고였습니다. 박은영 기자가 취재했습니다. [리포트] 아파트 놀이터 한가운데에 기다란 사다리가 쓰러져 있습니다. 연결된 차량은 옆으로 완전히 넘어져 바퀴가 하늘을 향해 들렸습니다. 사고 당시 사다리는 아파트 11층 높이인 32미터까지 뻗어 있던 상태였는데, 이삿짐을 싣기 위해 외벽에 걸려던 찰나 순식간에 균형을 잃고 쓰러진 겁니다.사다리차가 넘어져 놀이터를 그대로 덮치면서, 이렇게 기구가 산산조각 난 채 널브러져 있습니다. 사고가 난 시각은 한창 등교 시간인 오전 8시 반쯤. 학교를 가려고 놀이터를 지나던 8살 어린이가 사다리에 깔려 크게 다쳤습니다. 굉음을 듣고 달려 나온 주민들이 사다리를 들어 올린 끝에 어린이를 겨우 빼냈습니다. [아파트 주민 : "'딱' 소리 들리고 사람들 막 쫓아오고 아기들 울고 이래서, 사람들이 와서 사다리차 올려서 아기 꺼냈다고…."] 피해 어린이는 병원으로 옮겨져 긴급 수술을 받았지만, 아직 중태입니다. 경찰은 사고 당시 사다리차의 지지대가 제대로 설치되지 않은 사실을 확인했습니다. 차량을 지탱하는 지지대 4개 가운데 사다리가 넘어진 아파트 반대 방향의 지지대 2개가 펴지지 않아 무게 중심을 잃고 쓰러졌단 겁니다. 경찰은 사다리차 운전기사인 50대 남성을 업무상 과실치상 혐의로 입건하고, 이사업체를 상대로 안전 수칙 준수 여부 등을 조사하고 있습니다. The company has also wrestled with a number of labor issues. In July a National Labor Relations Board judge said that Dollar General violated federal labor law and “clearly intended to interfere” with worker rights in efforts to quell unionization at a Connecticut store.Violations from the Dolgen Corp., which operates Dollar General stores, included wrongfully firing an employee and making an implied threat to close the location in Barkhamsted, the NLRB decision read — adding that the company also sent corporate officials to the store and other locations across Connecticut in response to a 2021 union drive.Beyond unionization, Dollar General has faced multiple penalties for store safety over the years — including federal citations for electrical hazards and obstructed fire exits. As of May, the Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration had proposed more than $21 million in penalties since 2017 after conducting 240 store inspections nationwide.Vasos stepped down as Dollar General’s top executive in 2022 after seven years. He takes over from Jeff Owen.Under Vasos' leadership, Dollar General expanded its store base by about 7,000 locations, added nearly 60,000 net new jobs, increased annual sales revenue by more than 80%, and more than doubled its market capitalization to approximately $58 billion. "At this time the board has determined that a change in leadership is necessary to restore stability and confidence in the company moving forward,” the company's chairman, Michael Calbert, said in a prepared statement.While saying the switch back to Vasos is not surprising, Citi analyst Paul Lejuez said many of the issues beguiling the company took root under his control. “While many of the issues surfaced shortly after Owen took over the CEO role, we believe many of these challenges had their origins while Vasos was CEO,” said in report published shortly after the leadership change was announced. “We do not believe there is a simple fix.” Dollar General, based in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, expects 2023 net sales growth in a range of 1.5% to 2.5%. Its prior outlook was for sales growth between 1.3% and 3.3%.。
